Dream Bigger Than your Situation Foundation (DBTYSF) is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization based in Nashville, TN. We empower individuals from low-income communities through scholarships and mentorships. Our Mission is to enable opportunities for higher education without regard to socioeconomic status.

Back to School Jam
On August 5, 2023 Dream Bigger Than Your Situation Foundation worked with St. James CPCA, Brown Books & More, and Pop Up Parties by Jess to host at Back to School Jam that included free food, games, inflatables, and firetruck tours . We gave over 80+ bookbags and school supplies to the community of Decatur, AL.
Rising Phoenix Award
On May 9, 2023 Austin Watkins won the Rising Phoenix Award from Cumberland University. Celebrating emerging leaders, the Rising Phoenix Award recognizes alumni 35 years of age or younger who display outstanding leadership qualities, have exceptional achievement early in their professional careers, and dedicate themselves to public service and volunteer activities.
Watkins graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. During his time in graduate school he founded his nonprofit, Dream Bigger Than Your Situation Foundation, to award college scholarships and establish mentorships with disadvantaged students, many of whom have attended Cumberland.
